Plaintiff brought this action seeking to recover for personal injuries sustained as a result of an automobile accident. The accident occurred on the night of 6 July 1980 following a party attended by plaintiff, defendant, family and friends. Plaintiff and her family were standing in front of plaintiff's car waiting for the traffic to subside.
