On October 11, 1981, Cecil J. Bizette's (plaintiff) minor daughter Deanna (age 9) was playing with a friend, Kristi McGowan, in the neighborhood where they lived in Baton Rouge. Jack F. Hall (defendant) was a neighbor of the Bizettes.
