After a jury trial the defendant, Thomas Torpey, was convicted of criminal mischief in the second degree (Penal Law, § 145.10), coercion in the first degree (Penal Law, § 135.65), attempted assault in the second degree (Penal Law, §§ 110.00, 120.05) and conspiracy in the fourth degree (Penal Law, § 105.10) and acquitted of five other charges.
