On May 27, 1971, appellees, Mamie Lansinger, Marvin and Birgit Lansinger, Lucille and Paul May, and Margaret and Bernard Paul, owners of eighty-eight acres of farmland in Freedom Township, executed oil and gas leases with Pennzoil Company, f.k.a.
