Walter Davis was charged by Bill of Information with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a violation of La.R.S. 14:95.1. He was arraigned on July 7, 1983, and entered a plea of not guilty. On October 19, 1983, a hearing on defendant's motion to suppress the evidence was held, which motion the trial court denied.
