The parties to this appeal were divorced in 1976 by a final judgment that awarded the wife permanent periodic alimony in the amount of $1,000 per month. Following an appeal which resulted in a modification of that judgment, the parties entered into a stipulation further modifying the judgment, wherein they agreed the husband was to pay as permanent periodic alimony the lesser of $1,000 per month or fifty percent...
