Defendant, Charles Jackson, was arrested for the illegal possession of a controlled dangerous substance in violation of R.S. 40:967. He filed a motion to suppress evidence obtained as a result of a warrantless search of a piece of luggage in his possession. The motion to suppress was denied by the trial court.
