The defendant (Hanover) appeals from a judgment which declared it liable to the plaintiff (Allston), a premium finance company, for a return premium on an automobile insurance policy issued to Turnpike Auto Sales, Inc. (Turnpike). The policy was cancelled May 27, 1977, and had been in effect for 146 days. The return premium was computed by proration based on an annual premium of $18,000. See G.L.c. 175...
