Appellants Milton Hugh Freeman and Morris Harris Smith were indicted in the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota on one count of bank robbery in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 2113. After a joint trial, verdicts of guilty were returned by the jury against each defendant. Freeman was sentenced to a period of imprisonment for eight years and Smith was sentenced to a period of imprisonment for six years. On appeal...
