This case has to do with responsibility for loss of $90,000 as a result of an officer of Bridgeport obtaining the $90,000 by representing that it was a valid loan transaction. Bridgeport brought this conversion action seeking the return of the $100,000 certificate of deposit from defendant Deseret. The loan was obtained from the defendant as a result of presenting a certificate of deposit for $100,000 belonging to Bridgeport as collateral...
