This is a suit under section 301 of the Labor Management Relations Act, 29 U.S.C. § 185(a), against Roadway Express and two of its officers for breach of a collective bargaining contract. The alleged breach was the subject of a grievance proceeding that the plaintiff, Dober, lost; and the parties agree, as they must, that unless the union violated its duty of fair representation in prosecuting Dober's grievance he cannot relitigate the...
