This is an action for a divorce and property distribution. We reverse and remand.

This action was originally commenced on February 15, 1981. On May 5, 1981 the court entered a judgment and decree of divorce upon default of defendant (Robert E. Jones), which provided that plaintiff (Dianne F. Jones) have custody of the parties' children, subject to reasonable visitation rights of defendant, and that defendant pay child support to plaintiff...
