Defendant, Lonnie Ray Williams, was indicted by a grand jury on one count of manslaughter. Rejecting a plea bargain with the District Attorney's office, defendant pleaded not guilty and was tried by jury which found the defendant to be guilty as charged. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered by the trial judge, who subsequently sentenced defendant to fifteen (15) years at hard labor.
