The petitioner, Henry Willis III, was convicted in the Superior Court of Bleckley County, Georgia, of malice murder. He was sentenced to death. The Georgia Supreme Court affirmed his conviction and sentence. Willis v. State, 243 Ga. 185, 253 S.E.2d 70 (1979).
