Appellant was indicted by the May 1981 term of the Jefferson County Grand Jury for forgery in the second degree in violation of § 13A-9-3(a)(1), Code of Alabama 1975. Trial was had on February 10, 1982, with the jury finding him guilty as charged. Appellant was sentenced pursuant to § 13A-5-9(c)(1), Code of Alabama 1975 to twenty years' imprisonment. From that conviction he now appeals in forma pauperis.
