In the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Thomas Griffin was convicted by a jury of wire fraud (18 U.S.C. 1343 and 2) (Count II), of interstate travel with intent to promote an unlawful activity (18 U.S.C. 1952) (Count V), and of conspiracy to commit those offenses (18 U.S.C. 371) (Count I), all in relation to a scheme to profit from bets on races involving horses drugged by co-conspirators under Griffin's direction...
