Berry A. Mauldin appeals from his conviction on five counts of mail fraud and aiding and abetting in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1341 and 18 U.S.C. § 2. He contends that the district court1 erred in denying him both a new trial and a hearing on the alleged incompetence of a juror. He also argues that the evidence was insufficient to support his conviction.
