As a result of two incidents in a single evening on August 27, 1979, the defendant, Tyronne Joseph, and a companion, Glen Houston, were arrested and charged with one count of armed robbery, two counts of attempted armed robbery, and one count of attempted second degree murder. The defendants were tried together on the charges stemming from the first incident of the August 1979 evening, the armed robbery of two victims on Canal Street in New Orleans...
