On January 22, 1982, a one-count indictment was returned against Roy Lawrence charging him with violation of 18 U.S.C. § 2114.1 After a two-day trial, a jury found Lawrence guilty of the charge and he was subsequently sentenced to twenty-five years imprisonment.
