This appeal from a summary judgment for the defendant in a civil rights case raises two procedural issues. Appellant Griffen was a teacher in the Big Spring Independent School District whose contract was not renewed. Griffen believed this nonrenewal was racially motivated and pursued administrative remedies in the state system.
