This appeal by plaintiff-appellants, Lyn Anderson and Louis Roach, Jr. arises out of an adverse judgment rendered against them by a jury in the Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans. They seek damages as a result of an accident which occurred on September 20, 1979 between a New Orleans Public Service (N.O.P.S.I.) bus and a vehicle driven by Arthur Simms at the intersection of South Claiborne Avenue and First Street.1
