After trial by jury, Carl Joseph Davis, was convicted of attempted first degree murder and was sentenced to twenty-five years. On direct appeal, the judgment was affirmed without opinion. State v. Davis, 360 So.2d 183 (La.1978). The state trial court denied habeas corpus relief and the Louisiana Supreme Court denied Davis' application for remedial writs.
