John J. Muller appeals his conviction on fourteen counts of mail fraud in violation of 18 U.S.C. Section 1341 and two counts of filing false income tax returns in violation of 26 U.S.C. Section 7206(1) and (2), on the grounds that he was denied his Sixth Amendment right to an impartial jury by the bifurcated jury trial used by the district court, and that there was not sufficient evidence to support the jury's verdict of guilty.
