Defendant, Willie Howard, was charged by grand jury indictment with the offense of second degree murder of Isaac Kenebrew, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:30.1. The defendant was tried twice. The first jury trial ended in a mistrial because the jury was unable to reach a verdict.
