This is a personal injury suit. Plaintiff, Alva Jowers, sustained severe concrete burns on his legs while spreading and leveling wet concrete for his father. Plaintiff filed suit against the manufacturer/supplier of the ready-mix concrete, Louisiana Industries Pre-Stressed Corporation, as well as against his father's homeowner insurer, Commercial Union Insurance Company.
