Memorandum:

Plaintiff sued to recover $17,500 due on a promissory note and defendant interposed the defense of usury. After a trial without a jury, the court held that the defense of usury was not established and he granted judgment to the plaintiff for the full amount due on the note, with interest. From this judgment, defendant appeals. Plaintiff Elaine Hammond and her husband Gary were employees of Marrano Enterprises...
