Fisher Scientific Company sued Chip McCorkle to recover an amount owed for chemicals and laboratory supplies ordered by McCorkle on the account name and credit of his employer, Jones & Armstrong Steel Company. The trial court denied Fisher Scientific's motion for directed verdict and motion for judgment not withstanding the verdict following the jury's verdict in favor of McCorkle.
