Plaintiffs below seek reversal of a district court judgment in favor of defendants. The district court held that a seniority system maintained by Republic Steel was bona fide and thus shielded by the immunity provided under 42 U.S.C. § 2000e-2(h). The court held alternately that the international and local unions, the former on summary judgment, were not liable for the maintenance of the seniority system....
