This case comes before this Court by leave to appeal from the decision of the Workers' Compensation Appeal Board (WCAB), which reversed a determination of the hearing referee granting plaintiff workers' compensation benefits.

Plaintiff began her teaching career in 1958 and it progressed uneventfully until, after an extended teachers' strike in 1973, she experienced a serious deterioration in student discipline. Students became disruptive...
