On June 30, 1980, appellant, Lyndale Walker, pleaded guilty to the offense of arson and was sentenced to five years in prison. On August 31, 1981, he filed a handwritten petition for post-conviction relief pursuant to A.R.Cr.P., Rule 37. He asked for a hearing on his petition and that his sentence be set aside.
