Douglas W. Thompson, a Missouri state prisoner, appealed the district court's denial of his habeas corpus petition filed under 28 U.S.C. § 2254. He contended that he was denied a fair trial because of the jury selection technique used in his 1966 conviction by a Mississippi County, Missouri, court.
