This is a suit for damages for personal injuries brought by Amir H. Moazzami against the Board of Supervisors of Louisiana State University and its insurer. From a judgment dismissing his suit, plaintiff has appealed.

The accident happened when a large metal fire door closed on plaintiff's left index finger, amputating it at the distal interphalangeal joint. According to plaintiff, the door was open as he passed through it. He testified that...
