This is an interlocutory appeal from the denial of a motion for summary judgment.

On December 16, 1977, the plaintiffs' decedent, Michael Hudson, then eleven years of age, was riding a bicycle when he was struck by an automobile driven by defendant Betty Uwekoolani. Michael died as a result of his injuries. His parents filed a benefit application with defendant Hawaiian Insurance Guaranty Company, Limited ("HIG") which insured defendant Uwekoolani...
