Defendants appeal by leave granted on October 28, 1980, from an adverse determination by the Workers' Compensation Appeal Board (WCAB).

Plaintiff first filed his petition for hearing with the Bureau of Workers' Disability Compensation about March 8, 1971, regarding an injury to his back which allegedly occurred when plaintiff slipped while pushing an aluminum bar which weighed over 300 pounds. Defendants made voluntary payments from January 28, 1971...
