On August 29, 1977 Douglas Wesson, a security guard for Kimberly-Clark Corporation who was working the night shift, saw a Chevrolet Blazer truck with the door open on the driver's side as he patrolled the staff house area near the Kimberly-Clark golf course at Talladega.
