This is a suit for damages for personal injuries brought by Joseph F. Hirstius against Louisiana Materials Company, Inc. Mr. Hirstius was injured while working aboard the floating shell dredge Greenville in Lake Pontchartrain, which is a navigable body of water. This case is brought under the Federal Maritime Law and the Jones Act, 46 U.S.C. § 688, and may be brought in state court under the "Saving to Suitors" clause of the Judiciary Act...
