BLANCHE, Justice.

Defendant, Edward Bodley, was indicted in connection with the first degree murder of Louise Williams. Bodley's first trial ended in a mistrial during the prosecution's opening statement to the jury. A second trial ended in a jury deadlock, and a mistrial was again granted. At the conclusion of the third trial, defendant was found guilty as charged. He was sentenced to life imprisonment without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence...
