This appeal by the state from an order of suppression presents the question of whether the "knock and announce" statute and Payton v. New York, 445 U.S. 573, 100 S.Ct. 1371, 63 L.Ed.2d 639 (1980) apply to the entry into a suspect's home of police officers in the company of an undercover agent who had previously been invited there.
