Mylon Cross and Ronald Williams were charged by an information filed on April 28, 1978 with the offenses of rape (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1977, ch. 38, par. 11-1) and deviate sexual assault (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1977, ch. 38, par. 11-3). The public defender was appointed to represent each defendant. On August 11, 1978 the information was amended to charge each defendant...
