This is a suit by a Terrebonne Parish property owner1 for loss of land and house damage allegedly resulting from the defendant's dredging of a drainage canal which flows through the plaintiff's property. The plaintiff claims the dredging pierced a firm clay soil layer in the canal and caused loose silty soil beneath the surface of his property to ooze into the canal.
