Defendant Roy Tilley was charged by bill of information with distribution of cocaine, a controlled dangerous substance, in violation of R.S. 40:967(A). Following trial, the twelve member jury returned a unanimous verdict of guilty as charged. The trial judge sentenced defendant to serve twenty-one years at hard labor and to pay a fine of $10,000.00.
