This appeal concerns the conflicting claims of mortgage creditors to the proceeds of fire insurance on the mortgaged property. The dispute arises from the following sequence of events.

On May 11, 1976, M & J Fashions, Inc., sold to Providence Fashions, Inc., all of the inventory, merchandise, furniture, equipment, and fixtures located in their Lake Providence store. At the time of sale, M & J Fashions owed $19,000 to plaintiff, Leon A...
