Appellants Reza Sedigh and William Brooks were convicted under 18 U.S.C. § 371 for conspiring to possess unregistered firearms in violation of sections 5812(b) and 5861(b) of the Gun Control Act of 1968, 26 U.S.C. § 5801 et seq.
