Defendant was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (methamphetamine) in violation of R.S. 40:967. After the trial judge overruled his motion to suppress the drug seized from his vehicle and any other evidence resulting from that seizure, defendant pleaded guilty to the offense, reserving his right to appeal the ruling on his motion to suppress.
