This appeal arises from a judgment of the trial court awarding damages to the plaintiffs for personal injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

On October 26, 1976, at about 7:30 in the morning, one of the plaintiffs, Linda Burns, was operating a motor vehicle on behalf of her employer the New Orleans Easter Seal Society (hereinafter referred to as NOESS) when her vehicle was struck from the rear by an automobile being driven by the defendant...
