The central question presented for review by this appeal is whether it is a forgery proscribed by Section 831.01, Florida Statutes (1979), for a person to make a false birth certificate with the name of a fictitious public office affixed thereto with intent to injure or defraud another. We hold that such an act constitutes a forgery of a public record under Section 831.01, Florida Statutes (1979), so long as: (1) the fictitious public office...
