Malan Construction Company brought this suit to recover money paid by it to the State Highway Commission for special access to Route 45 from its property. The trial court denied recovery and Malan appeals. We affirm.

The portion of Route 45 in question was originally a segment of old Highway 71. As originally constructed, Highway 71 was a two lane highway running in a generally north and south direction in Platte County. In the early 1950s...
