Following a bench trial in the circuit court of Vermilion County, the defendant, David Chaput, was convicted of two counts of aggravated assault and one count of reckless conduct, in violation of sections 12-2 and 12-5 of the Criminal Code of 1961. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 38, pars. 12-2, 12-5.) He was sentenced to 10 months' imprisonment on each count...
