On December 8, 1978, defendant was convicted by a jury of failing to return a rented automobile, contrary to MCL 750.362a; MSA 28.594(1). He was sentenced on January 18, 1979, to serve a prison term of 15 months to 2 years. Defendant appeals as of right.
