This is a suit by a physician against an attorney and his client for malicious prosecution and abuse of process. At the conclusion of the proof the Trial Judge directed a verdict in favor of the client, Martha Carson, but allowed the case to go to a jury as to the attorney, Sidicane, and the jury found for the plaintiff against him, awarding a judgment of $3,000.00 compensatory and $8,500.00 punitive damages, from which...
